Hi Guys,

I am wanting to get this monitor on pay day: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-051-BQ&groupid=17&catid=510&subcat=

Now having a look round the forums I have noticed that people are saying that
HDMI can only do upto 60Hz so is there any point in getting a 120Hz monitor?

I do have 2 DVI ports on each of my Gfx cards but to be honest I'm a little
confused, If I use the 2 DVI ports will this still be HD quality?

I probably should mention that I chose this monitor because I play BF3 and
its a nice looking monitor and good for gaming.

Rig is in my sig if needed.

You connect the Dual Link-DVI cable you get with it to DVI ports(one end to monitor other to a card) and there's your 120hz at 1920x1080 res.

Yes it's absolutely amazing for BF3 or well for gaming altogether i love mine totally. In some games you can really see the difference, like in Skyrim if you go inside a building hit 120fps then outside 60 or so in a city you sure see the difference in motion.(need SLI now but waiting for Keplar so i can hit 120fps a lot :p)

During BF3 matches i've got a lot of shots off sniping way earlier than others when aiming at each other or such and same my mates have said who use the monitor too.

Check out the thread lot of happy customers of the monitor including me.:)

The good thing also with 120hz you always looking for more firepower as 120fps cap is hard to hit.....you got SLI too so it seems ideal for you and put it this way i will not go back to 60hz again ever. :p

3D on it is nice too by the way but needs fair amount of gpu power, BF3 looked quality in 3D and Batman Arkham City so yeah if you are gaming a lot then it's a mandatory buy in my view.

On BF3 I usually get FPS of about 109-80 or so, which I am more than happy with.

I'm not really bothered about the 3D side of things if I'm honest with you.
