Is there any real world diff between 16x16 and 16x8 CF?

Hi,
I was looking at MoBo's and if I was to have two 290's in CF would I notice any real difference between a MoBo that has 16x16 PCI and one with 16x8?
excluding benchmarks, just gaming.
