Well my monitor just died...so now i need a new but, but i have a corner desk with a tv on, and id love a pair of matching displays one for pc, one for tv/dvd player I DONT WANT A TV CARD i want the tv monitor stand alone. And monitors seem to have much better stats than normal tv displays...

So..

Is theres any reason to not use a monitor as a tv?
Is it even possible?
How do u deal with sound on the TV monitor if u do...

Or should i just get a monitor and tv, i do sit quite close to the tv i have currently tho so thought a monitor might be better for me...and ofc even 2 samsungs wont match if ones a lcd display and ones a monitor....

need some help cuz i need to get it done fast.

I noticed this one has a HDMI input, but given HDMI has sound in it to, how can that work to a monitor?

Hmm i did think about that...

what i was thinking of doing is...

having a scart switch linked with various scart inputs, dvd player, sat, digi tv.

Have that scart split into composite...

Have the composite Converted to HDMI and linked to the monitor.

Now i dont need to switch from DVI to HDMI on it unless im by the pc, so that doesnt matter, the controllers for the tv tuner/sky/dvdplayer will control everything once its switched on...and i can use a plug power switch off to switch it off at night.

Waht bugs me is, LCD tvs are worse stats for more money...seems silly to get one..

OR i might go for a

both the same monitors one with a controller and tuner...

that would give me idntical screens but one with the tv ability...

question is would in ppl opinion is be silly to have a 22 inch when 24 inches are around a lot more how valuable is that extra 2 inches?
