Is there any software to spilt single screen in two halfs

As title..

I want some software so i can spilt my monitor screen down the middle and have like daul monitors on single screen.

This is not for gaming use..Only Desktop use i need it for.

I read somewhere that nvidia have this in there drivers..But i have sold my two 7800gtx already and only have an ati card now.

As you say, with nVidia drivers gridlines are an option in nView...with ATi no such luck. I've not heard of a separate application, just thought I'd clarify the nView gridlines.
