i dont want to because i cant find my temp for it so i dont want to burn it! unless u no a progy to show temps on gfx
You'll get artifacts and instability before you burn it out - assumign you overclock in stages and take you time you don't strictly need to know the temps.

Overclocking is the only way, it already has the same amount of pipes and vertex shaders.
If you are worried about heat then anything that would make it faster would also increase the heat output, raising the frequency would probably raise it less than unlocking extra pipes would.

You will see artifacts (graphical errors) if it got too hot, way before it could be damaged. You could always buy another cooler for it though

400/750 should be possible, but dont go for that in one go. Try 330/670, benchmark and look for artifacts etc. then slowly raise it by about 10mhz at a time until you find the max. Then lower it a little

6600 has temp probe but it is locked out in the bios. you need to flash the bios just like on 6200 agp cards to unhide the temp probe. assuning your card is agp.

get a zalman cooler and do the pencil voltage mod. you should see past 600Mhz on the core. that will certainly boost the old performance.
