Is there any way of adjusting the CPU fan speed from within Win7. Mines running at 938rpm. I’ve downloaded and installed ‘FanSpeed’, but that’s just a monitoring program, there’s no way of adjusting the actual CPU fan speed.

I’ve also tried Asus Probe II software, but again, that’s just a program for monitoring, not adjusting.

Can any one help?

Thanks for the reply.

My mobo is an Asus P6X58D-E and I don’t think it’s supported by Speedfan. I couldn’t find anything relating to PWM in the BIOS.

Does any one know for a program that will allow you to control the CPU fan speed from desktop?

Thanks.

Can you give me some help?

I’ve downloaded and installed AI Suite. Got it all working, but how do you adjust the fan speed? I want to set the CPU fan speed to 1100rpm.

Can you tell me how to do this?

Thanks.

The 1100rpm bit was just an example. At the moment it’s running at 958rpm. I’ve noticed that the fan is still just as quiet at 1100rpm. So, I was hoping to adjust the fan speed so that it ran at 1100rpm all the time. My temps on idle are 36, 32, 36, 36. Perhaps I could get them down a little.

I still can’t work out how to adjust the fan speed in Asus Suite.

Thanks guys,

Got it working now. I’ve set the fan at 1107rpm (close enough). It’s still silent and my temps have dropped slightly.

Thanks for the help and info.

Cheers
