I have a 2407 dell monitor and two main computers. one for business and the other for home use. At the moment, each PC has a mouse and keyboard. Each one is connected to the dell monitor via USB. If i want to change between PCs, i have to press the input button on the monitor and then move the keyboard/mouse over so that i can use the other ones. Is there a way i can get one keyboard/mouse that will be connected to both PCs without having to switch over? i.e let the monitor input decide which computer to use the single keyboard/mouse combination with?

I doubt it, but thought ill ask just in case.

Buy a KVM switch and attach your monitor and a PS2 keyboard and mouse to it. This will allow you to switch between PC's with a key press combination, mine is "scroll lock" twice and up or down arrow.

The D-link DKVM-2KU is good, supports PS2 and USB slot for devices. Only gripe is that despite it letting you disable the beep when you press the button to switch, it doesnt seem to stop the beep.
