Is there anything like OSX's Spaces or Virtual Desktops for Windows?

I'm having to go from OSX to Windows because I've got a netbook now.

Is there anything like spaces in OSX? I really miss it!

You can get Virtual Desktop Manager for Windows XP, I've never tried it though I don't know what it's like.

I tend to avoid messing with the Windows shell, particularly with 3rd party tools, but I'm sure people will have some recommendations.

^^ Another vote for Desktops (above) I have used it on Windows XP, Vista and 7 with no problems.

I've been aware of virtual desktops since 1999 (Win 9X days)... the idea was being able to span your desktop over 4 instances, or however many the program allowed. There are plenty on Download.com. I'll echo Carter's recommendation of 'Desktops'.

Hydravision does this too if you install it with your drivers (ATI only obviously). Handy if you don't want to install any other programs and already use the drivers.

The microsoft powertoy does the job if i recall correctly.
