I haven't got a clue why I'm having problems with my logitech c920, if i move side by side it glitches it's not smooth at all, I'm wondering if it's dropping frames, it happens in all resolutions even dropping the frame rate down doesn't solve it. It's got to be something with the webcam because it also happens on my desktop and laptop.
Is there anyway to test the frame rate of a webcam

Sure does work on usb webcams and as i thought its dropping frames. And I have no idea why and how to fix it.

What webcam brand /model comes close to the Logitech C920 as I'm thinking of going to another brand.

Yes i tried them all, the capture worked smoothly at 720p but only for a few minutes.

I got the Streamplify webcam,picture quality outstanding for the price. and here comes the but, it's still the same I am getting motion judder when I move side to side it has improved a little bit but still not good at all.
So we can safely say its not the webcam that's faulty what else could it be? it's the same with my laptop that's running windows 11.
Edit: Could this be a lighting issue my room is very well lit plenty of light from two windows. What I have noticed on my laptop if i have the camera pointed at my body so my face isn't showing at all and i move side to side its pretty well smooth but as soon as I point it towards my face and move side to side its jerky again.
