is there anyway i can fit this overclocked bundle into a 550 pound budget?

OVERCLOCKED* Intel Core i3 530 Clarkdale 2.93GHz @ 4.20GHz / Gigabyte GA-H55M-UD2H Intel H55 Motherboard / Corsair 4GB DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz DDR3 Bundle = 349 at current offer.

i have 550 pounds (could possibly stretch to 600) and basically need a gaming rig.

i would need a case, psu, gfx. i have two sata 2 hds, so would not necessarily need to buy a new hd. no OS needed or peripherals.

any opinions guys?

With a quick trawl through, you could do this.

You can go for a 5770 but if you dont really want to go above your £550 & if dx11 is not a must for you could go for a 4850

I would not spend £350 on the bundle TBH.

If you want to stay with Intel I would get the following:

Core i5 750 ~ £155

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-299-IN

Gigabyte GA-P55-USB3 ~ £105

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-248-GI&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1495

The motherboard has cooled VRMs and even has USB3.01

OCZ Gold Low Voltage 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz ~ £92

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-180-OC&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=1517

The total comes to around £352 excluding postage.

There are are few other motherboards which should also do the job and I assume you maybe able to get some better recommendations for this!

Im guessing the OP went with the bundle as its got a high OC & dont know how to do it them self

Certain games like FarCry2 and BFBC2 would run better on a Core i5 quad core though.

Anyway just pointing another possible avenue.
