Long long time ago AMD had barton which people used to buy as it overclocker amazingly. Is there something of the sort now please?

From the same bench you can see the 2500K murders the 8150 in gaming. Just go with the 2500K, sadly Bulldozer is unable to compete with Sandy Bridge unless you do a fair bit of multi-threaded stuff, but even then even the quad core 2500K comes close to that sort of stuff... If you really want to go with AMD, wait for Piledriver.

That's only true recently. It's improved a lot over the last few years though, especially recently with the wage boosts.

Google is your friend, If the majority of answers in here arent good enough for you.

If you spend on AMD, you'll get a capable processor, no doubt. but your money would have been better spent on intel.
