Is there finally an alternative to the horrible on board front I/O cables?

So with all the customisation out there, has anyone actually produced something to combat the terrible on board crap that comes with cases (Power LED // HDD LED etc).

I have found something for the USB 3.0 connector, but not the USB 2.0 or the Front I/O connectors... I cannot find anything for them.

The best PC I ever saw was similar to this:

But are we still in dark times regarding these?

I guess we need case and motherboard manufactures to make a standard single cable that goes into motherboard from the front IO. Connecting all power/reset/audio/HDD LED etc in 1. Have it nicely sleeved with a black plug, right angle connector on the edge of the motherboard next to a rubber cable tidy grommet.

Chance of it happening... 0% :).

The last few cases I've had I've just sleeved them. You could get some sleeved extensions I guess but you'd probably have to hide the excess.

I just use a USB Hub and stick it the wall. Audio comes through a USB DAC.

Asus were kind enough to include one of these bad boys in the Z170i motherboard.

The other side of the pins are labelled to what FP connectors go to what and then when you're done you just plug the socket part into the board. Neat and tidy. :)

If you spend the money on a good quality case, you'll get nice black sleeved cables included.

Upgraded a few days ago to a Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX Glass edition, lovely black cables included ;)

The fact that these are still not a single keyed block continues to amaze me. I always found these a pain even with my miniature donald trump sized hands, must be a right pain for peope with fat fingers.

Definitely sweated a few drops of sweat into the computer when building because of the awkwardness of getting these cables in!

I like the block Asus include with their motherboards so you can plug all the cables into the block, then plug that into the mobo. Makes it a lot easier.

Its is.
There have been times I have asked my daughters to help.
Fat fingers are no fun.
