Is there good game with financial rewards?

hi,

I was wondering if there was a good fun game such as BF2BC2 with financial rewards. I.e. You get points that you can turn in to cash and or tournaments, regular way to make some money out of it?

Say like poker online, but that is bit boring...(no fancy graphics, no killings)...

Anyone know please? thanks
 
I'm sure there are a few, one I've played is Entropia and it's based on a Real Life economy, so you can make money....and lose money. Never expect it to be easy money though, more people lose than win.

In Entropia 1 us dollar = 10 entropia dollars, you can put money into the game and also take money out of it. Armour/Weaps degrade with use and must be either repaired or replaced. Ammo costs money, you can also mine and craft (again items degrade, plus mines cost money).

Ultimately its just a big gamble since its luck whether the mob you kill has good loot, or the mine your drop results in a large claim, or the item you craft gerates a big payout. There is also player services (such as body sculpting and hair cutting/dying etc), and an auction house (which can be a source of income to traders).

You can play for free, but its hard work to get yourself off the ground. If you start this way you have no method of killing mobs. Only option available is to gather sweat (eww) from mobs and sell to other players.
 
Kwari? something like that. I find the whole premise dodgy but there are FPS games where you theoretically get paid if youre good enough. Its more like gambling though. Plus i dont know how they handle hacks, the system would have to be very secure... anyway they are out there.
 
Don't waste your bandwidth on Entropia, unless you want a flashback to Amiga graphics.

there is that virgingaming thing but i have no idea if it's profitable.

I think moving to South Korea and become a StarCraft II player would be you best bet.

You really do need to be a natural to get anywhere though. I'm generally 'good' at games but I'm a bit useless at RTS games, I just can't think about resources management while in a battle, doing 2 fairly big things at once is beyond me.

Saw my friend in college play once before he went to World Cyber Games in Singapore about 5-6 years ago, he came 8th and won an MP3 player =/ (free flights/hotel etc)
 
we should start a guild in one of these games with the aim to make as much money as we can by pooling resources.

it will requite someone with good standing to control the resources though
 
Some kind of MMO where you can legally convert ingame credits to cash. But most suck so just farm Gold in WoW or ISK in EVE Online if you must but it won't be as easy to sell.

Yeah this basically - I know this was meant ironically, but it has some truth. I keep hearing people in WOW boasting that they make rent money botting. I can believe it actually as there are always people who buy gold. I really wish Blizzard would get off their rear ends and do something about the obvious cases (buying and selling) at least.....
