When I play Battlefield 3 I get artifacting when I'm near a helicopter and in Nexuiz It happens when I'm near waterfalls. I've also seen slight flickering in the Witcher 2 occasionally. My HIS 7950 Iceq runs at 934/1262 and 25c at idle and about 65c at full load. I'm currently using the 13.2 beta 5 drivers but it happens with 13.1 aswell. I've also tried down clocking the card but that didn't help.

Here are a few examples:

The bf3 corruption is a bug. As far as im aware this was fixed a while ago though. What drivers are you using?

I'm using the 13.2 beta 5 drivers.

Also how do I change my signature? I can't find anywhere in my profile to change it

I'm pretty sure it happened on the 13.1 drivers as well but I'll try rolling back just in case.
So it doesn't look like there's anything wrong with the card that would cause those artifacts? It seems to perform well apart from in those cases.

I'm not running afterburner at the moment but it is installed and I've used it in the past.
I haven't used beta 6 but I don't expect it to be any different.

those look like driver problems as has been mentioned (too regular looking to be vram issues). it took months before driver releases finally fixed some of the problems i was having but it's all in the past now.

(btw i just installed nexuiz and to my horror it keeps crashing... (at stock too!) great... :D. whatever, just gonna uninstall)

edit: ok, not whatever. goddamn xD new bugs all the time, and i just can't let them go. apparently nexuiz crashes all the time for other people too, though the worrying thing is it didn't the last few times i had it installed. right now it doesn't even run with everything at stock. frustrating

edit2: fixed completely by installing the directx11 redist in the steam folder. firstly why does windows 8 not include those files (esp when i thought directx11 doesn't need redists anymore), and secondly maybe you ought to try this if you haven't already?

edit3: SUCCESS! in the most contrary way possible! it turns out the directx11 redist package turns off difrectx11 in this game. after installing the package and rechecking dx11, i get exactly the same glitches in nexuiz as you mof. identical. and worse, my pc crashes or hangs too. i've googled and it seems this is a common issue with this game, definitely no hardware fault.

So I should try re-installing direct redist in the steam folder and do the same for BF3? I'm confused because the "redist package turns off directx11 in this game" so I'm not sure what to try?

EDIT: Was it the case that you thought the problem was fixed because direct x 11 was disabled and it was running direct x 9/10 and when you got direct x 11 back on the problem came back?

I'll give beta 6 a go see if that helps.

Directx11 mode off fixes it in Nexuiz.

no dude basically before i installed the redist i was just crashing in dx11 in nexuiz. after i installed it i started getting the same corruption that you have in your screenshots, again using dx11 (crashing was still an issue). a lot of people seem to have problems with dx11 in this game, and judging by the rest of your screenshots your artefacts look like software glitches. it certainly seems like you have driver/game issues rather than a faulty gpu

That's a relief if it's not a hardware problem. I might try some older drivers too if the beta 6 ones don't help.

I get those Artifacts if i have not enough volts on my GPU when overclocking.

See if you can add some volts :P

Could give it a go. But surely VDDC 1.25v MVDDC 1.6v is plenty for 934/1262MHZ?
I'm not even overclocking manually it's just the "boost" or "iTurbo" feature kicking in. I've no doubt people run much higher clock speeds with that same voltage.
