Is there such a thing as 1 day car breakdown?

Hi,
The misses didn't renew her breakdown cover as her car is up for sale, however she needs it for a trip down to the south coast which is about 80 miles return trip.
Can she get 1 day breakdown cover? I've tried the main service providers and Googled but so far nothing!

Also depending on what bank you have you can upgrade your account to include breakdown cover. mine, along with other perks cost me £10 a month

Thanks for the tip - however she is already insured so this is not an option.
Turns out I can get her personal cover as a named driver on my insurance which is a result!

Didn't know that was still going ... last time I went to a Total garage they didn't have it advertised or have the leaflets so I thought it stopped.

Worthwhile though, thought it was a great idea.
