Is there such a thing as a golden snes?

I've tried google but can't find anything, noticed one for sale on the market stall in town today. I just want to know what its really worth, however it could be me imagining colours or the console has been defaced or had decals applied.

i think there was a gold N64, but i dont remember a gold snes, prob not worth much tho

oh, and it was just the top area around where the cart goes in that was gold, not the usually light grey areas round the sides/front

Personally I think its just a paint job and not an official nintendo release at all.
