Is there such a thing as an Upload Accelerator?

Hi

I'm in China, where everything internet-wise from Europe has to go through the great firewall. At first, I couldn't believe my 2(ish)MBPS broadband was downloading at 6kbps. But then I got a download accelerator (DAP) and have managed downloads up to about 215kbps.

Now I need to upload the contents of a CD to a FTP site of a company, and I'm just using explorer to drag and drop the files across. As I suspected, it's impossibly slow. I'd send the CD in the post, which would probably get there quicker, but you're not allowed to do that in China.

So - Is there such a thing as an upload accelerator? Or does it not work like that? Would getting hold of some FTP software make the transfer any quicker?

Cheers!

Unfortunalty no, download managers can be effective as they find multiple sources for the same file and download all at once.

Theres no similar method for uploads though.
