Is there such thing as a "Mazda Specialist" garage?

I've just called a Mazda dealer for a price on my upcoming Mazda 6 service - £673.84 :rolleyes: This includes:

Removing injector pipes to check valve clearances - these can only be fitted once, so need to be replaced @ £37 + VAT each;
Oil + filter;
Air filter;
Pollen filter.

Are there proper "specialists" who can do this? Mazda have an "electronic service record", so I guess if I get this done somewhere else other than a Mazda dealer, I'll have to keep a record of the servicing myself... ??

I called another dealer at the end of today, and they again priced it at about £680. When I started asking what the service entailed, I was transferred to another member of staff who said they could do the service without the physical valve clearance check for £339. For that, they would listen to the valves as "they would be able to tell if they needed doing".

I'm sure I can get the proper service from an independent for less than that....
