Howdy All,

Just a quickie... is there such thing as a max vcore? Lets forget temps completely, say you could get your E6600 to 2.8v at a safe temp, would that be fine? I mean 2.8 therotically, I would never go that far... thats just a far fetched example :)

Basically what I am asking is, is it only the temps of your CPU that cause you to stop uping your vcore voltage? I have my vcore at 1.45v on 3.5ghz at the mo, and its running on full load at 52c so I still have a biit to play with... im just worried that if I go to far into volts regardless of temps i might cause probs to my CPU?

Anyone?

Someone asked this question a few months back, yes a chip can go boom from just volts.

Ahh right, well ive given up now... i can only seem to get 3.3ghz outta my E6600... even though the temps are quite good. I went up to 1.5v and orthos still died instantly... so for some reason my PC dont like it.

So 3.3 seems to be my max.. sahme, when others are getting theirs to 3.9ghz. all I want is 3.5 and it will not do it?
