Does anyone have any experience with this version of the GT cooler ?

Is it noisey, what kind of temps do you get ?

Has anyone had this version and the original cooler to compare ?

Thanks

well it looks better/bigger than the stock cooler, as guys here will tell you, once you sort the fan problem out with rivatuner the stock cooler is fine, I havent seen mine go over 70C yet and I run it at 50% and can't even hear it.

I had the original cooler on a previous GT I had and it was a tad noisey imo.

This style of cooler have been out a while but I can't find any feedback about it.

I will find out soon enough, I just bought one cheap as I couldn't make my mind up about buying a 3870x2.

I have this card, yes it is noisy but keeps the temperatures low. Unfortunately there's no fan control speed even in Smart Doctor (which is incidentally the only way to measure the temperature due to the new sensor type on these cards), which means it's running 100% all the time.

Noisey ? :( this could have the shortest lifetime of one of my cards.

Have you tried rivatuner to control the fan ?

Yup, Rivatuner isn't interested in core temps or fan speeds. Its a good card all the same. The fan is noisy compared to the stock fans on these but it's not exactly deafening.

I received this today and im very impressed with the fan even though it is stuck at 100%. It miles quiter than the original GT cooler and cools a lot better too.

Running fur bench for 10mins it reach 68c tops and its warm in my room.
