Hi guys, I have an 06 Mondeo tdci it has done about 165k and one of the injectors has completely failed, I have been told its permanently stuck open and over-fueling the engine, it runs like a dog lots and lots of grey smoke, glow plug light flashing,

I am going to an injector specialist tomorrow going to get a set of 4 put in however it is a 60 mile drive to the garage, will it be ok to drive there if I take it easy? is this a bad idea? Could I cause more damage? Thanks

Why all 4 and why go so far? Any garage could fit an injector?

This is a delphi specialist with injectors in stock at the best price, Ive used him a few times on other cars always been 100%, i am replacing all 4 for peice of mind and will look better when i come to sell it on

Is this for real?

Seriously?

Again?

Just buy a non broken car for once!!

But then he can't buy cheap, half arse fix it and sell it on without mentioning the problems and pocketing lots of money.

Im sure you could find them cheaper. There are a few places that do them exchange, then save yourself the 120 mile trip in a **** car tbh.

Also I can't see you losing much on resale by not doing them all tbh.

If running "like a dog lots and lots of grey smoke, glow plug light flashing" is not an indication of whether or not you should drive it then I'm not sure what else you would consider to be?

Seriously?

stop every 20 miles and swop the injectors round?

ex taxi at a guess?
