Hi there I was just wondering if this pc was well balanced, and allows for future upgrades. I have a budget of £1,200. My monitor is MSI 1440p 180hz AMD freesync.

CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 5700x

Motherboard - Asus Prime B550 plus

RAM - 16GB Corsair vengeance 3600mhz (8x2)

GPU - 16GB amd Radeon RX 7600XT (gigabyte)

Storage - 1TB solidigm P41+ Gen4 m.2 ssd
512gb solidigm P41+ Gen4 m.2 ssd

PSU - Corsair 850w Rmx series

Case - Lian Li Lancool 215 gaming case

Thank you that’s really helpful. I don’t know if I can fit a 4070 in my budget as I am configuring it on pc specialists website as I am way too scared to build it at home. Do you think a Ryzen 5 7600 with the 7600XT will be okay as I can fit this into my budget or should I really push for a better graphics card. Thanks again.

FYI: the 4070 Super in my spec is nearly twice as fast as a 7600 XT and the Ryzen 7600 beats pretty much all Ryzen 5000 CPUs in single thread and gaming performance (except for the 5700X3D/5800X3D).

AM5 also has future upgradability of the CPU and double the potential memory capacity (256GB versus 128GB). If you go AM4, the only real upgrade from a 5700X for gaming is a 5700X3D/5800X3D.

To be honest if it runs most games at 1080p I’ll be happy I wasn’t expecting 1440p with this spec I just happen to have a 1440p monitor as I have a Xbox series x as well.

I’ve been told by others I should wait until January when they release new graphics cards so the prices drop on the current ones, do you think it’s best to wait?
