is this a codec problem with Win7?

i just installed the witcher enhanced edition and the game is running perfectly & a lot faster than it did with vista

the only problem is that the movies are a bit messed up
i can live with it as its not really important to the gameplay but if its something i can fix then i would like to

if it is a codec problem then can anyone link me to a good codec pack to use?

Personally, I'd lend more to gfx drivers.

But, if you want nice codecs anyway. Shark007 have W7 specific codecs. If you're on x64 then you need both the 32b and 64b drivers (installing the 32b ones first).

try gfx drivers first

don't install any other codec packs in W7, only install the shark007.net ones

any other pack is very likely to break your codecs (because W7 has many native ones now)

thanks guys ill give those a shot, as this is the only game giving me this kind of problem im not too fussed

i have the latest beta drivers from nvidia so maybe they will fix it in the next release
