Ive had my epson dx4800 printer for about 5yrs and its been a superb printer, but I noticed that photo printouts been slowly getting brighter and brighter over the last 2yrs or so and also quite washed out. This is really strange cos it prints everything else out perfectly. I think if I could get the printer to print out photos darker, that would fix it, but I cant see any options todo this and it seems a shame to bin it when everthing else prints out fine?
Is this a common thing with printers?

Ive been messing about, and its odd, cos if I select plan paper, photos print nice and dark, but if I select any of the photo paper modes the photos come out bright. Ive tried the printer on Vmware running xp, but I get the same results????
