Is this a decent gaming pc ?

Hey guys I posted a thread earlier last week on another forum and now I have decided ill build my gaming pc myself.Please tell me if this would run games such as bf3,rom and far cry 3 on medium to high settings. Also please tell me if these parts would make a decent pc . Thanks

Video card:Radeon HD7870 2gb.
Processor:Intel core i5 3470
Motherboard:Asrock z68 extreme3 gen3
RAM:8gb
PSU:650 W
Hard drive 500 gb

What is the make / model of the PSU & what is your budget?

But generally that system will run the games without issue.

Personally I would look at the following motherboard:

Seems good, I'm guessing you mean i5-3570K? And you would be better off with a Z77 motherboard instead of a Z68 one. What brand is the PSU? Which RAM set is it?

the psu model is yet to be decided and I have 750 euro budget

I don't know what ram ill need yet also will the z77 mobo be compatible with the parts ?? And if I add 3570k will that be compatible ?

Just make sure the PSU is something reputable like Cosair, Seasonic, XFX, etc. as the cheap ones are cheap for a reason (in some cases, a timebomb :eek:

).

As for RAM, look for 1600mhz 2x4 GB, that seems to be the sweet spot for the i5 at the moment.

You'll have a brilliant PC to play games for a good few years once it's up and running though, do you need anything else with the build? Windows, mouse, keyboard, etc.?
