sandy bridge is coming out in jan so i would wait and see how they compare before buying

TBH, it doesn't really matter - its D0 stepping so it will be good.
To the OP - you say you are getting it for a deal, will you be able to tell us how much you can get the kit above for all-in?

Go for it.
The difference will be noticable in some games and less so in those games that rely heavily on the graphics card. The extra memory bandwidth will be worth it alone if you are getting a good deal as you say your are. Nice board.

Well I'm getting the entire system for 420. but at a guess I reckon im getting the proc board and mem for about 300 +/- (maybe less)
I just really want to know if its an upgrade from what I have or a side grade tbh.
