The blades do look different I think your right, the arms seem a little different also.L33 said:They look different to me. Look at the 4 pieces of the frame between the middle (where black sticker is) and the outer frame. One is rounded, one is squared.
Example:
The blades of the original also appear more 'curved', and have a less rounded leading edge. They also appear not as 'shiny'?!
I'd never buy anything from the 'popular auction site' with the influx of fake memory / memory cards / CPUs etc etc that have been reported, its just not worth it.

The Loons have better airflow according to those stats, Ambers are fairly quiet not too much to notice between the decibels - its the airflow though thats the decider!Nymins said:Cool thanks. Although i looked up the "Orange Yate Loon D12SL-12" rated at 1350 RPM @ 12V, 47 CFM, 28dB. Its 10dB louder than my Akasa one but has a slower rpm. Will that mean that overall it is quieter?
EDIT: Btw this is the fan i have: http://www.akasa.co.uk/akasa_english/spec_page/fans/spec_ak_181bk_2b.htm
