Is this a good 32" LCD buy?

HI,

I'm looking to get a 32 inch LCD Tv. I don't really want to go larger than this or it's going to fill my modestly sized lounge a bit much.

I can get a Sony Bravia KDL32A12 from a high street department store for £1089 including delivery and a 5 year garantee. But should I?

I've seen mixed reviews that say it is a good design, but the quality isn't the greatest, so can I do better for the money?

Cheers, Stu

Sharp screens are quality as well and usually very cheap. Someone I know who works for Sharp told me that:

"Sharp are the currrent LCD format telly intellectual rights owners. Their Aquos range ought to be the best, but never the cheapest! They have a 50 odd inch model but it ain't for general sale yet.

All the gubbins LCD tellys from the rest are based on Sharp's research licenses apparently.

They earn more from that than actually flogging the TVs"
