Is this a good Android tv box?

Seems like a cheap android box whatever, also it is cheap.

I have the nvidia shield tv very fluid better than the amazon fire tv stick and box that i have, so i recommend you look and study the nvidia shield tv but it will cost £150 ish, > https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07Z6QQZPF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I don't know if the diyomate is a good android box but i certainly know the nvidia shield tv is a very good bet that is perhaps the best android tv box thingy you can get.

The nvidia shield tv is an android tv box device in case if anyone is confused.

If you plan to game on the nvidia shield tv get the pro, if not get the £150 which will do for tv watching or maybe some casual gaming.

Here are some links about the shield tv box below.

Entirely depends on what you want it for.
I wouldn't suggest the cheap android boxes as an "android box" they come installed with awful interfaces.

I'd suggest a minimum of a S912 box with 3GB of RAM (mines a h96 pro) but they are all the same) if you are not going down the Nvidia Shield route, with CoreElec flashed to internal to make it a beast Kodi box.

If you just want an android streamer 4K firestick works nicely for the additional app support.

Flashing corelac to internal is not officially supported, if it goes wrong you have a dead box. I'm not sure if my flashed superceleron rom (and recovery?) can recover from a bad corelac flash. Also by doing so I'll lose android, which is still useful for browser, es file explorer, and APK apps. The loss of that plus risk isn't worth slightly improved internal speed corelac flash

Not sure there has been a single thread about sub £50 android boxes without someone chipping in that you should forget about a generic box and buy a £150+ Nvidia shield

Can't see benefit of spending triple the price..maybe if 4k, Atmos, hdr, and subscription apps don't function on these chinese boxes, bit I only play upto 1080p anyway as 4k files are too big.

I understand, yes triple the price some or maybe most don't want to pay that much so the only other recommendation is to get a 1080p amazon fire stick or 4k amazon fire stick,

I recommend the 4k fire tv stick, https://www.amazon.co.uk/Amazon-Fir...words=amazon+fire+stick&qid=1597075630&sr=8-1 and costs about 50 quid but what i like about the fire tv stick is you can use your voice to search things for you on netflix or amazon prime video but i can't do that with my nvidia shield.

The fire stick uses fire os not the android os.

Dan.

Don't care about voice search, don't have internet connection, don't have sub service, also that stick doesn't have usb connector, I use r++keyboard/trackpad, usb hard drive and usb sticks..plus needes optical out
