Oh .. lol.

Can I ask what the reason is for people wanting to spend over £300 on a single graphics card.. so they can hit the 100 FPS mark? (they be craazy)

Is it for modding? or is mods more CPU/RAM focused?
 
More demanding games at higher settings, multiple monitor configurations, high screen resolutions, benchmarking, 3d gaming etc... :D

standard monitors only run at 60hz meaning that it only refreshes 60 times a second - i.e 60fps
at 60fps in game you will be able to "see" every single frame rendered on a 60hz screen. running higher fps may seem smoother but the extra rendered frames aren't visible as the screen can't refresh at the same rate as the fps.

it is usually better to have 60fps+ as then when demanding parts show up like explosions you won't notice a dip in fps.


your optical drive is IDE btw, you will need to get another for around £15-20 ;)
