Is this a good deal for £620?

I am a complete novice when it comes to Laptops!

I am after something to keep for 6 months while I go travelling, something I can play games with on long journeys. I will need to buy additional batteries!

Found this second hand.. Is it a good deal?

That won't be very portable!

It's large and weighs around 3.5-4KG, so certainly isn't portable. It'll become a right pain in the rear having to lug that around along with all of your other stuff.
 
Took my m1710 on a roadtrip for 2 months. Used it for internet, work + games on the go. Worked out really well as it wasn't too heavy for me, battery life was quite good and it was very quick. Seems you have got a very good deal there, very good value for money. :)
 
Seems like a nice machine. CPU isn't amazing but it's got a good graphics chipset to make up for it. Certainly wouldn't find anything of equal spec new for that price.
