Is this a good deal?

I really didn't want to build it myself as I have no patience and kind of just want to plug it in and off I go. I don't mind having to upgrade a graphics card a year from now, but that's kind of it :)

Sorry, I know you guys all build yourselves, but last time I tried it I was a nervous wreck.

Its certainly a good system yes :) Could be done cheaper if you built it yourself but if you don't want to then I understand.

As said you could opt to pay the extra 60 to step up to the 780 and I don't know if you need an optical drive added?

System is similar to mine in my signature, apart from I am slumming it with the 770 2gig as that's all there was when it came out. My 4770K is also OCed to 4.4. I can play all of todays games at 1080p at mainly max or high with playable FPS such as assasins creed 4, BF4, etc. When I built it I spent £1000 at the time, but had a few bargains and the 770 was a lot more expensive then.

Personally id go for this build:

An R9 290 will decimate (i love that word) anything you throw at it.

The case is a piece of art, stunning.

Same CPU as the one above, smaller too. :)

I also added a cheeky monitor :)

Thanks ever so much for the advice guys. This is most helpful. The other one I found that interests me (it's in the Custom PC magazine top buy list), sorry for showing an external link.

Both specs have the 290 gpu. It depends if you want a full tower or matx tower ? Also do you intend on adding a 2nd gpu in the future ?

I can't open your first link so can't see your spec but I did the same and had my PC built for me only works out about £100 for labour which obviously includes the warranty by them as they built it I only added the Graphics card myself. My build cost £1,300, which roughly consists of Storm Trooper Case, i5-4670K (not overclocked) 8GB Kingston 2400 Ram Nvidia Gainward GLH GTX780 Asus Hero Motherboard, 128 SSD, 1Tb Caviar Black, 750W Corsair Gaming Enthusiast PSU all this for £1,300.
So in answer to your question you can easily get a prebuilt PC which can handle any game at 1080 with 60 frames.

You can ring up and ask OcUK to build pretty much whatever you want as Lee said, some of us can do specs when the site is working and maybe you can pick and choose and then ask OcUK to build it for you? :)
