My E6300 overclock so far!

Finnally got some new RAM and let my 6300 stretch its legs a bit :)

Im pretty pleased with my clock so far, only 200mhz off what good 6600s clock too and mine needs a much higher FSB. Running @ 1.29375v through CPU in BIOS and +0.1v MCH ;) Not fully tested for stability yet tho :( Just got a rush of blood as with my old RAM, couldn't get over 2.7ghz without stupidly loose timings/high vDimm :) Just like to thank gt_junkie for the RAM ;)

Ben, PS: Tips welcome!!!

Nice clocks, what mobo and Ram are you using?is it the stuff in your sig? I can only get my E6300 to 2GHZ after that it wont post, then again I am using an Asrock 4CoreDual VSTA mobo IMO

What timings are you running on your memory as my geil fails to get my 6300 over 3.1 Ghz at 4-4-4-12 @2.1v.

With my Geil, i also have problems at 4-4-4-12 at 3.15GHz (450FSB). Have it et as in sig and it is fine.

Just got some new Arctic Cooling thermal paste and dropped the temps 15 degrees so will try a bit higher.

my superpi time is 1sec quicker with 200mhz slower clock?

is that due to the extra cache?

If its your spec in sig it could be due to the extra cache or your memory timings as the ballistix is very good at overclocking so your probally runing tighter timings :)

Ive left it at auto which is 5-7-7-20  Ive run it at 3.3ghz at 5-5-5-15 fine :) Ill tighten it a bit when i know that its fully stable
