Is this a good gaming Build?

Yeah, price wise there doesn't seem to be much in it but it should mean that if you do want to upgrade in the future it's not much of an issue.

I don't think you need it but I'd go for one as I want the headrooom, plus I'd go for the 6600k over the 6600 and overclock it a bit, not that I'm much of an overclocker.

I can get a corse air 750 watts for 94 quid, or theres a evga supernova 850 850 watts for 110 would you say go for the evga ? Does the more watts mean better quality ?

Both would be pointless with a motherboard that doesn't Xfire or SLI.

550W is plenty with room to spare, or 650W if you want the extra headroom to replace the 970 with a 980Ti or similar.

Here are some good choices:

And no, the more watts it has (or says it has) does not equate to better quality. A good indicator is whether it's Gold rated efficiency, for example (but even that is just one aspect - it's just that Gold efficiency, or higher like Platinum, tends to mean they've made it a good unit in other respects too).

I'd advise getting 16GB RAM these days - you're now more likely than not to come across a few apps that will need more/make use of 8GB+.

You mentioned storage - you need 120GB minimum for OS and programs etc. Just depends how many games you want to have downloaded. A method many people use is to put their favourite games on an SSD and use a cheaper mechanical drive to store the rest of the games. Then just transfer them from one drive to the other if desired. You can save a bit of money there, i.e. going for a 500GB SSD and a 1TB HDD for example.

Hope some of this helps.

Is there a certain storage id need?

Nope but an SSD is fast and you'll probably want one at least for the Windows boot drive.

No more watts doesn't mean better quality. When I look for a PSU, which I haven't done for many years now, I looked for something that seemed suitable for the right price and then read a few reviews to make sure it was of decent quality.

So the Fractal design Edison 750w for example seems alright for the money then I'd just have a look at a review like this one and make a decision.

But as Danny75 pointed out there are many options and 750w will be more than you need.

So a good start would be to go for 6600k Skylake CPU, a Z170 Chipset motherboard assuming you want to overclock and as per Danny75 recommendation 16GB DDR4 ram.

It's fine but I'd spend a little less on the PSU and a little more on a Z170 motherboard if you're going with the 6600k.

Added the motherboard mate, got a Z170 like you said, all together with the 850 watts power supply its coming to 1550 lol ill pay it though if it means ill have a powerful gaming computer that will last a while,

You don't need a 850w psu. You could easily run 980ti sli off that. A good quality 550w psu is more than enough power for just about any single gpu system. I doubt if your planned build will pull more than 350w at the wall even when overclocked. What motherboard have you gone for because your list still has the H170 in it. A Z series board around the £100-120 mark is more than enough. No need to spend a fortune on a motherboard.
