My dad would never buy a PC for my bro so I tried to see what I could build for basic PC usage. My bros using now is 433mhz Pentium Cel 2 with a voodoo 3 3000 graphics card and it's running like a pile of poop now and it takes ages to do anything and videos are all jerky.

This is less than £260 so it won't hurt anyones bank balance to much.

Cheapo PC

Mobo
Abit NF-M2S Micro ATX (Socket AM2) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (MB-117-AB) = £41.11

CPU
AMD Athlon 64 3500+ 2.2GHz (Socket AM2) - Retail (CP-164-AM) = £62.26

Memory
Corsair 1GB DDR2 XMS2-5400C4 TwinX (2x512MB) (MY-059-CS) = £51.69

Harddrive
Western Digital Caviar Special Edition 80GB 800BB ATA-100 2MB Cache - OEM (HD-123-WD) = £28.19

Case
Antec NSK4400 Mini Tower Case - 380W SmartPower PSU (CA-052-AN) = £46.99

DVD rewriter
Asus DRW-1608P3S 16x16 DVD±RW Dual Layer ReWriter (Black) - Retail (CD-020-AS) = £19.96

Floppy
Sony Floppy Drive - Black (HD-001-OK) = £5.86

Total
£256.06

I think this will do everything he needs as he doesn't play games. The Mobo has bult in Nvidia 6100 graphics GPU.

Do you think all them parts will work fine together I can't see any problems but I could have missed something? I would have banged a Sempron in there but I can't see any at OCuK.

Edit just found this

AMD Sempron 64 3400+ (Socket AM2) CPU - Retail (CP-160-AM) = £35.24
