Is this a good mobo as i think my current foxconn 9657AA is on its way out
as having problems shutdown restarting and sleep is playing up radommly.
can even shutdown or restart and have tro use power button pc.

Get the P5K-E instead. The motherboard you've listed suffers from a flaky memory controller the last time I read and DDR3 compatibility is pointless anyway, by the time prices have lowered Nehalem will be out.
