My mate wants to know if this will rip apart any games thrown at it?

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200 Retail AM2 2.20GHz, 1000MHz FSB, 1MB, 64 Bit Socket 940pin
Abit KN9-S Socket AM2 PCI-E 16x / DUAL CH DDR2 / 7.1CH AUDIO / SATA(II) RAID / Gb LAN / ATX MOTHERBOARD
X-Blade MIDI Tower Case Black CAS-449BK
OCZ Platinum XTC 2GB Kit PC2-6400 DDR2 RAM 2x1GB Kit OCZ2P8002GK
36GB Western Digital Raptor 10K High Performance Serial-ATA
Sony 16x DVD ROM Black
Levicom 550W ATX V2.0 PSU

Then he's adding an X1900XTX and a 300GB HD.

Provided the X2 4200 does have 1mb L2 cache per core it will have removed my objections to it however if it is the standard 512kb per core like on the socket 939 version I'd say get the X2 3800 and clock it.

I've got no idea about the case and if the PSU will fit but providing it does and with the caveat on the CPU above I'd say yes that will be a very capable PC.

The PSU is a bit dodgy, only has 1 +12v rail @ a measly 21A.

I really wouldn't reccommend that PSU, I may be wrong, but looking at its specs a single rail and only 21A may be a problem with a 1900XTX, and tope end CPU etc.

It also has no PCI-Express power cables
