Sooo.... whaddaya think? imma be making £600 or more and i am wanting to build a new computer.
i already have pheriphirals, harddrives and a dvd drive.

What i gotta knowww--
Can the PSU support the IceQ radeon 4850 and q6600?

Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "Energy Efficient SLACR 95W Edition
Samsung SM-2032BW Pebble 20" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Glossy Black
HIS ATI Radeon HD 4850 IceQ 4 Turbo 512MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI/HDMI (PCI-Express) - Retail (H485QT512P)
Gigabyte GA-73PVM-S2 NVIDIA GeForce 7100 / nForce 630i Chipset (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
Thermalright Ultra-120A CPU Cooler (Socket AM2/LGA775) <-- for when warrenty is over, some overclocking ;)
OCZ Freeze Extreme Thermal Conductivity Compound<-- Same as above
Hiper 425W HPU-4S425 Silent ATX2.01 PSU
Akasa AK-191-SM Smoke Ultra Quiet 120mm Fan - 3 pin <-- i have more fans at home
Akasa AK-CB001 Single PSU 4-pin Molex to 4 Fans <- since its a mini atx board it lacks fan pins, so heres a converter.

going to buy from overclockers soon.
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// EDIT \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ READ BELOW =) New cheaper build
thank you.

Do not get that mobo, the nforce series are unreliable, the only reason to get one is for SLI anyway, and youre looking at an ATI card, get either the gigabyte GA-EP43-DSL or if you can afford the extra the asus P5Q Pro, theyre both good boards, more reliable, better clocking and support crossfire. Power wise the PSU is ok, though I'd recomend you look at the Pc Power & Cooling 470Watt Silencer, better quality and definately going to run everything, the Hiper whilst it has enough Watts may not have enough amps. Youd be moving from a microATX to full size ATX so I presume you'd need a new case? this is personal choice but the antec 300 is good

As above, don't go with an nforce chipset motherboard, the only reason to go for one is SLi and since you've chosen an ATi graphics card, you don't need it. Go for either Asus P5Q or the gigabyte P45 boards.

Go for a more reputable PSU, corsair or zalman are recommended. It's good to get a decent PSU, make sure you don't skimp here.

picked the Asus P5QL-CM Intel G43 Micro-ATX (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
and OCZ StealthXStream 400w Silent SLI Ready ATX2 Power Supply and changed the case to Akasa AK-ZEN-01-BK Rev.4 Zen Case - Black (No PSU)
good idea?

I think you're cost cutting on the wrong parts and splashing out on the wrong parts.

Don't skimp on the PSU and Motherboard and then go for a big top of the range heatsink. The Ultra needs compound and a couple of fans (and probably hours of lapping!) to make it perform at it's best, so around £60 altogether + elbow grease. Go for the Tuniq Core Contact, you'll get the excellent TX-2 compound and fan all for under £30 and will outperform the Ultra120A.... at the very least cool just aswell ;)

Put that £30 you just saved towards a better motherboard.

Do you really need a quad? That's going to run hot when overclocking, if gaming go for the E8200. In a good setup you could hit 4ghz and outperform the quad in a lot of things.

Put that £25 you just saved towards a better Power supply.

Also where's your RAM? Did you forget it??

Ahh you're going for the UltraA and not the TRUE, so it's £13 cheaper.

Then the Tuniq is definately a better cooler. Don't forget you don't need to pay extra for thermal compound and fans with the Tuniq as it's all included ;)

Thank you for your help!
after a lot of thinking, i have decided not to go for quad core. reviews say the psu is pretty good.

NEW Setup, what do u think? =)
Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200 <- going to overclock to around 4GHz
HIS ATI Radeon HD 4670 IceQ Turbo 512MB GDDR3 - Pre-clocked with their trusty coolers.
Akasa AK-ZEN-01-BK Rev.4 Zen Case - Black (No PSU)
OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C5 Dual Channel Vista Gold Series DDR
Sunbeam Core Contact Freezer CPU Cooler
Hiper 425W HPU-4S425 Silent ATX2.01 PSU
Asus P5KPL-AM iG31 Socket 775 onboard VGA 8 channel audio mATX Motherboard <- £37 from ******!(sorry Ocuk, you dotn sell them here!)

Asus P5KPL-AM iG31... looking for reveiws on it!
thanks in advance

You will not hit 4Ghz with a E5200. I can just about guarantee that. 3.6-3.75Ghz max if you are lucky. If you are not lucky then 3.2Ghz is more likely. In any case it won't be 4Ghz. They do not like high fsb's so you have to make full use of the 12.5x multiplier. As they are a 45nm Wolfdale core it also means that 1.4-1.45v is the absolute max vcore. Preferably no more than 1.4v though. You don not need a huge cooler with them as they are quite cool running. A £12.64 Akasa AK-965 is more than enough.

I would steer clear of the very poor Hiper psu's. You can do better than that for your money. The 580's are the ones that blow up but it's still the same manufacturer.

The 4670 may struggle with the latest games with details turned up on a 20" monitor.

That's a better balanced setup if you ask me. The ASUS P5Q is a bargain for that price!

The E5200 might clock well with it's high multi but from what I've seen they're terrible for getting high fsb's and don't like going over 350?

Avoid the G31 chipset if you want to overclock, go for the P35 or P45

The 4670 is ok but crippled compared to the 4850, you could save yourself £40 and go for the 4830 instead, it's a better choice than the 4670.
