I have a mouse pad from Oz that my mate bought me, my g/f doesnt like it, you can probably guess why, lol

Just realised you have Vista Ultimate Edition specified - do you really need it? Home Premium x64 should be all you need. If you don't need the extras save yourself some cash.

The only bits that I would change are: PSU, Hard-disks, RAM

PSU - I'd go for one for one of the Corsair HX's PSU's.
Hard-disks - I'd go for a pair of 7200.10 drives in RAID 0.
RAM - I'd go for 'Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-5300C3 667MHz' they are meant to be excellent clockers.

I'm not sure about your 2.1 Speaker system either... but it should be fine.
Nice choice on the monitor ;) I'll be getting one soon enough... the mouse and keyboard should be fine... but take a look at the Razer stuff. The Reclusa and DeathAdder in particular are great products... I've got a DeathAdder myself and am planning to get a Tarantula or Reclusa too.

PSU - changed
RAM - changed (noticed some ram on the list for over £1000!!! crazy)
Hard disk - I like a seperate one for games, especially Flight Sim, as its quite big with lots of ad ons, and it needed to format, wouldnt want to loose it all!

OS - changed, thought Id read something on why I chose that, but just been back and cant see why I choose it, lol. whats the dif on the 32 and 64 bit?

64bit will let you see 4gb of ram 32bit wont

the harddrives can be run in raid0 meaning they run 2x as fast (elegedly) but you must get 2 of the same drives

the drives you chose are not the fastest drives there is go for westerndigital aak's or seagate 7200.10's for speed

That's no problem about the drives I guess... the 7200.10's in RAID 0 are amazing performance-wise :)

I will have to have a think about the H/D's!

Speakers I wasnt too worried about, not really got room to put 5 all around me, but will take it into consideration.

Thanks for comments so far, much appreciated :D

Good decision changing the memory, I have the OCZ you orginally specced and Im not impressed - it won't run at it's specified timings and it doesn't overclock well at all.

I would also change the motherboard to a Gigabyte DS3P as that it widely regarded as a better OCer than the Asus board and you will find a lot of support for it on this forum.

Also if you don't mind spending a little more on the mouse you should consider the Razer Deathadder or the Logitech G7 which is an excellent wireless gaming mouse.

Mobo changed, that one looks cool too, lol.

Mouse changed as well to razer death adder. Want a wired one as was fed up changing batteries on my old one half way through games!

To get it to run at the correct timings you have to up the voltage to 2 and set the timings manually. That's what I had to do when I had the OCZ's.

DeathAdder is a great mouse, I've got one myself and I've had the G7 too which is great if you need wireless if not then DeathAdder is the way to go!

Yeah I did up the voltage to 2V but it still won't run Orthos Stable :(
