Is this a good SSF setup for the money ?

I really dont play online games on the PC anymore as i have that covered with my xbox 360 but my move towards SSF is to remove both of my tower systems from the front room and have this SSF setup in its place.

Not really interested in overclocking as such but want a system fast enough to play the odd game of battlefield 2 and counterstrike/dod source.

Also will this setup be ok for windows vista ?

Thanks for any feedback. :D

If you want a games machine go with the AMD equivalent (the SN25P) :)

Other than that I would change to the Corsair TwinX 3200 kit (on this week only) or the OCZ Platinums.

These 805 processors seem to be all the rage at the moment. Are they quick or something?

And you want DDR2 memory for that Shuttle. There's no point in buying fancy PC4000 RAM as the bog standard stuff is PC4300. And as that processor is only a 533MHz FSB you're extremely unlikely to outrun the RAM.

And that graphics card will be processor bound with that CPU as well.

That's not very helpful now, is it?

The Shuttle is lovely, however, the CPU isn't on the supported list (although I think it will probably work), even when overclocked it's likely to be slower than a Prescott 520HT, the RAM wouldn't work and it's unlikely it would run smoothly as the CPU isn't fast enough to keep the graphics card supplied with data.

This is likely to be far quicker until games support dual core processors;

And the mentioned graphics card seems to be more like £349 at the moment otherwise I would have used that.
