Is this a good value upgrade?

Hi all

Im just curious for some advice on the upgrade i am looking to do on my current sytem. Would you see this as good value for money? I am looking to upgrade my 5850 GPU when the new 7xxx series is released next year but the rest of my current setup is in my sig. Im looking to sell off parts of my current setup to fund my new look

Look's good to me, Though I'm unsure about the CPU cooler - Hopefully someone else can tell you if its value for money or not.

I use a Corsair A50 (cheapo £24 jobbie) and it keeps my CPU under 70c at 4.6GHZ so its good enough..

Hi mate cheers, If im honest i actaully already have that CPU cooler on my current setup but it didnt come with a 1155 bracket at the time and i cant find one anywhere!! I checked out the prolimatech site and they do seem to sell them but you cant seem to buy from them direct so i think the bay may be my best hope there. I am more than willing to try something new its just its been a fab cooler for me so im just going with what i know. Might have a little look and see if there is anything a little cheaper in the cooler section with similar performance

Sounds good mate if you can keep the same cooler, Maybe with the left over cash you could change the SSD to the 128GB version.

What i wanted to really do was get a 64gm SSD for my windows 7 OS and applications and then try and find a cheap 20-30gb SSD (which is very hard) to try out the Intel® Smart Response Technology. I thought if i could use the small SSD to cache the games on my mechnical drive it might save spending out on a bigger SSD but im not to sure how it works if im honest just been reading up on it now
