Is this a graphics card issue please! all divx mpgs wont work

after 2 formats i still have same problem, i load a divx or mpeg file and media player will load up and thats it the whole comp goes into to slow mode and i wont see any video playing just everything goes slow and takes me ages to ctrl alt del to shut it down then all is normal, i cant get my head round it i think it might be a Dx9 issue but i have installed all versions and still same

tried going to a web site and playing a streaming divx and still mass slow ages to shutdown.


any help would be awesome as i;m lost lol

what codecs you using

i just installed these

klitemcodec157 which as like all the codecs (so it says)
XviD-1.1.2-01112006



if needed

Dx9c
mediaplayer10
latest Divx Player


Just sure it started when i installed Dx9

my motherboard is MSI KT4AV and Gcard is nvidia 6600GT

don't mess around with codecs try a program called VLC.

thanks and tried VLC but i heard the movie file playing but no picture was just black and all comp in slow mode

only one didnt instal was via chipset files!
