Is this a low x1800xt performance?

I'm nearly hitting 10K now, would defiently hit 10k if my cpu was at 2.7ghz, running at 2.4 until I get better ram, I reckon I can hit 10K with cpu at 2.4ghz but would need to run gpu at 1.5v

Can water=3 be enabled with this patch then? It's sure been a long time coming if true. I'll go check it out.


EDIT: Just tried the latest Pacific Fighters 4.04 patch and set water = 3.

well I just attempted my first overclock of my x1800xt 512mb

This is what results I got:

GPU - 695.25
MEM - 792.00
Voltage - 1.425

8841 3D 05 Marks.

I think this is about as far as I can go with my poor CPU at stock 3200 venice 2.0ghz, and with only 1Gb of RAM. Am soon planning to upgrade to 2GB and maybe an Opty or a 4400+ X2, so hopefully with this extra juice, and an added overclock on the CPU I should fly past 10k, no?

I don't think you're going to see better scores with 2GB of system ram but the X2 CPU will definitely help.

With my CPU at 2.75GHz and my X1800XT at stock I can get around 9500 05 marks on average, looks like the X1800s are quite CPU limited with 05. If I clock the card to XTPE I can get 10k... Am going to try and break 11k with it soon

CPU and GFX is on water, so I should be able to push the GFX more now, up to 1.5v in theory - but still my bad CPU will limit it X2 is needed!
