My son has asked me to go rouund his place and set up his TV/Mac with a Plex media player. He has a Samsung TV from which I can download the app. (hopefully)
At the moment he uses a Sky WiFi router to connect to the internet for his Mac (in his spare bedroom/office). He also uses a WiFi dongle on his TV which he used for LoveFilms. So it is asumed he has the capability of communicating with hisTV-Mac as well.
My question is: Because both the TV and Mac can gain access to the internet, is it the wrong assumption that both the TV and Mac can commincate with each other. Or is it not yet a network till something is set up to constitute one.
As you can see a layman is asking a novice (me) to set it up and I am having to ask -you - the experts for advice. Cheers.
