To anyone out there

I have just recieved my RMA'd unit back (AMD Warlord) which has now been fitted into a HAF case with an HD5870 (Powercolor).

When I turn the machine on all it all seems fine but I don't get anything on screen. I have tried the 2 different connections and have opened up the case to see if the GPU came loose in transit but everything looks ok?

Aaaarggghh... I have been without my PC for a week and my laptop can't handle the FM10 demo I am going nuts!!

Please help!

Wouldn't have a clue how to do that tbh... is it hard?

I've also noticed that none of the USB ports are working no matter how many times the system is turned on/off.

This is the 3rd time I've has to return this system :(. Despite loving the excellent customer service here at ocUk I'm afraid this may be the end of the line here for me. I may have to accept paying more and go somewhere else.

This would genuinly upset me as, like I say, the customer service from them is second to none.

Boo hoo :(

Haha yes I suppose...

Seriously though is it actually as esay as pull it out and push it back in?? It looks like there are quite a few screws etc and tbh considering I've never touched anything inside before am I not more likely to break my new near £300 GPU???

Make sure the power's off when you do it, and touch the case before the card to discharge static. Don't be wearing nylon or polyester ;)

1. turn power off.
2. undo side case.
3. take off 2 x pci-e cables.
4. take off monitor cable which is connected to graphic card.
5. undo 2 screws.
6. take out card.

reverse list to put back in.

you won't damage it, just don't think of it as quick/rough sex.

don't forget the little lever thing on the pci-e slot, you know the one you never know if you should push or pull.

thanks for all the advice guys.

Just spent about an hopur trying all sorts and it looks like it's just not posting as there are no lights coming up from the mboard.

Going back tomorrow morning!!!!!

Do a complete cable check, make sure HDD's are plugged in, check power leads to the MB, Do the fans spin up at all ?

Hi sorry had me dinner just then.

Thanks for the responses guys!

Mr Paul: I am in S****horpe atm (North Lincs).

LOAM: All cables were secure. GPU fan spins as well as all case fans but no post lights. The gent at Ocuk who built the system has also been on the phone for awhile trying to help and he fears it may be the case which would be a b**ch as it was the only HAF left :( . I chose this case for its excellent airflow and low noise.

Thanks anyway peeps I appreciate it!!

Shame I'm not with my folks (they are in Grantham, Lincs) and I'm not in Reading.

Otherwise I'd of popped round and done it for you ;)

Thanks anyway for the offer Mr. Paul. would have been very much appreciated and I suppose you could have wrangled a case of beer or something from me for your effort :)

Although if you read above it may have been a wasted journey as it could be a mobo or case problem!
