I am just wondering if this is a thing, and where to get it from.
I have a particular piece o equipment that connects via USB. Being part of a steering wheel, hat kinda sucks as it tends to catch every so often.

Is there something out there that can mimic the USB connection via Bluetooth or wireless even.

I don't believe so, but I'll have a look around.

You'll run into problems if the USB port also supplies power - as any <<USB to wireless to USB>> connection would need a power source at both ends...
 
Belkin do the 'Belkin F5L009 5-Port Network USB Hub' and Iogear have the 'iogear GUWIP204' which both allow you to connect devices to a hub that then connects wirelessly with your computer. Not sure if it will handle your wheel though
