So you can see my spec currently, I'm wondering would it be a worthy upgrade to sell the CPU/motherboard/RAM and upgrade too a preoverclocked i3 bundle from ocuk .. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-035-OB&groupid=43&catid=339&subcat=1803 .. A friend of mines brother just bought a prebuilt system the xenomorph i3 and he says it's great .. So much faster and better for gaming.. I'd guess after selling my current spec it'd be a relatively cheap upgrade for say 50-100££ And I can keep my case/psu/gfx card as there relatively new anyway or the other option when I can eventually afford it would be.. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-062-OE but £220 ish more .. Any helps appreciated :-) cheers

Edit: the only thing with the i5 sb Is this sata ii problem.. I currently have 3 sata hdds and 1 optical drive, would I not be able to use all of them as I hear it's limited to 2?

In a word, no. I wouldn't bother upgrading now, is your current rig actually struggling in any games? You've already got a decent 45nm quad at 3.2GHz, should be more than enough for most stuff. You should be able to get a slightly higher overclock out of that chip if you want a bit more speed.

If you really want to upgrade I'd suggest waiting until April when the Sandy Bridge issues should be fixed (also the Z68 chipset for Sandy Bridge should be out in Q2 this year).

it chokes now and then and sometimes i get random crashes where the game just goes off without any error message or anything but might just be luck of the draw, the highest oc i can get going upto a 1600fsb the board supports is 3.2, so when it comes to going over that ive no idea what im doing lol. cheers though il just wait for sb to be fixed!
