Got my new BenQ GW2765HT today and really like it so far, haven't found any dead pixels but after watching a show on Netflix i did notice some backlight bleed in the bottom right.

I did my best to take photo's but i only have an HTC One camera that i barely know how to use properly.

The pictures almost make it look like i have a blue background but i can assure its a solid black.

Bottom right in the worst affected area although it looks like top right is also really bad but in reality looks much less severe.

I dont really know what is considered acceptable as far as backlight bleed goes so if anyone has any advice id really appreciate it.

Thanks

Really hard to say from these pics mate. You should stay a lil farther (1.5/2 mt), perfectly centered and perpendicular. Also a dim diffused light in the environment would help, not much for the bleeding rather than for the camera exposimeter. This way it's all borked and doesn't really mean much. The center of the screen should in fact be _black_ (not only darker) and it's not the case here.

That being said it looks like you may have some (minor) problem in the bottom right corner. Which brightness setting is the pic taken at? Coz if it's 100% it's all right since in daily use you should run at 30-50% tops. You can even try to "massage" the bezel a bit, see if there's a way to loosen it a bit around the corners, generally speaking there are no screws on these monitors, just clips, but you can try anyway.

I dont think i have any dim diffused lights but i'll have another go tonight any way. Are there any settings for my camera phone that i could tweak to get a better image?

Could play with the "open window" settings during the day. Window as in...... you know those rectangular holes in the wall filled with glass? Not the operating system anyway :D
