Is this adapter ok for eyefinity?

gizmodos main business isnt to sell you items. They review tech and steal prototype iPhones :P

I knew that... :D

but anyway, that is an apple product therefor requires a mortgage to purchase, you're better of with the ocuk one.

That one's passive, it won't work.

But if you need one with Mini DP then you might have to look around elsewhere.

Are you talking about the one i posted? Didnt know you could get passive dual link ones??? Also would the apple dual link adapter work?
Or are you talking about the one the guy in the second post linked...

isnt this passive?

That passive adapter is only for use with the 5870 eyefinity edition AFAIK, so if you have a different graphics card then it won't work - you need an active one.

As for the apple dual link, it should work - but its rather expensive. Are you certain you need the bandwidth of dual link? For most resolutions (1920x1200@60Hz or less) single link is sufficient and these adapter are much cheaper (like the one Orcvader linked to).

I know someone who can order me the apple one cheap (Y)

Ah, well if you can get it for less than £20, then absolutely go for it. I remember a few people went for apple active adapters before the sapphire ones became available and they worked fine.
