Hi all,

Managed to bag a 9800x 3D so im doing a full upgrade. Can someone please confirm this all looks ok? wasnt sure on the cooler as everywhere i look everyone is using something diffrent and the memory im not 100% sure is the correct choice. Any advice about the best harddrives? I have 2 nvme ones in my pc right now but assume they will be slower than what this system could use.

Any worthy upgrade or downgrades please let me know

Thanks!

Hi.

New GPUs are just around the corner , the 5000 series from Nvidia.

Your case takes atx psus so you could save £80 there .

I was temoted to wait but then i thoght how long will it be to actually be able to get hold of one without paying scalper prices

Yes I'm just making you aware.

You probably need done case fans.

The rest are solid choices and the memory is ideal for AM5.

If your after a decent m2 drive with dram this. Is a solid choice for the price. But you have 2 so they should be good enough

The artic silver is pointless as the cooler will have some pre-aplied and artic silver is also a risk to use on am5 cpus as its electrically conductive.

if you really want some thermal paste buy this

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £10.94 (includes delivery: £3.99)

yeh theres some pastes that come with a paste guard that fits around the cpu as well, think mine was noctua and came with a guard plus not conductive, used thermal grissly on my old 5700x and worked awesome plus came with a nifty spreader :)
